Counting randomly located pieces
What does counting objects on a conveyor mean?
It consists in contactless counting of loose, undirected objects. It is particularly useful in applications where it is not suitable to count pieces of objects using a sensor. A classic example is counting envelopes or packages on a conveyor belt. The advantage of this counter is that it can recognize objects that are placed over each other.
What does it solve?
- counting objects moving simultaneously on the conveyor
- counting objects that do not protrude above the conveyor plane
- counting objects of various items that cannot be distinguished using a sensor
